SCStrings is an exciting extracurricular program that helps students develop their musical understanding through stringed instruments. Under the direction of Mylana Goheen, SCStrings has seen over 15 years of growth; and in that time, many students have been provided with valuable experience and opportunities to grow and nurture their passion for music!

Please note: Students must provide their own instruments, and are expected to practice for a minimum of 90mins per week outside of school rehearsals. If you have any further questions about the program, please contact Mylana Goheen (mgoheen@surreychristian.com).
Introductory Strings (Cloverdale Campus) – Wednesdays @ lunchtime (exact times TBD), in the Chapel
For beginner students grades 4-7; no experience necessary
Introductory Strings (Fleetwood Campus) – Mondays @ 3-3:45pm, in the Primary Music Room
For beginner students grades 3-7; no experience necessary
Intermediate Strings (Fleetwood Campus) – Mondays @ 12:35-1:10pm, in the Primary Music Room
For students grades 6-7 with at least two years of playing experience (or at a comparable level of playing)
Junior Strings (Fleetwood Campus) – Wednesdays @ 3pm-3:45pm, in the Primary/Intermediate Music Room
For students grades 4-5 with at least one year of SCStrings experience (or comparable orchestra)
Senior Strings (Secondary Campus) – Tuesdays @3-4pm, in the PAC
For advanced strings players (bass, cello, viola, violin) in grades 8-12. Students who register for this course may take it for credit.
