With deep anticipation and excitement, we celebrated the grand opening of the Fleetwood Campus building extension! WATCH VIDEO HERE
On Friday, October 13, we gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony with our students and staff. There was much joy and excitement on the faces of our students as they walked through the new library learning commons/multipurpose room, classrooms, and the fun slide/reading area. Our staff had the chance to celebrate together and end the week with a closing blessing in the new staff room.
Then on Saturday, October 14, the greater community came to celebrate our grand opening with many current and former students, parents, grandparents, staff, and alumni. Mayor Brenda Locke spoke at this event, congratulating our community on our beautiful, completed school building and the wonderful legacy we are leaving for future generations. MLA Jagrup Brar and City of Surrey Councillors Mike Bose and Linda Annis also came to show their support.
Our supporting community cares deeply about our school, and desires that our students and future generations may flourish and learn what it means to follow Jesus. “What happens at Surrey Christian School matters to us.
