Thank you for your interest in Surrey Christian School. We are excited that you are considering partnering with us in this great adventure of Christian education. Our vision is to educate your child(ren) for wholeness by enabling them to engage God’s world in the servant way of Jesus. This requires confidence that there is not one square inch of our world that does not belong to God, and that cannot be redeemed by the overwhelming power of His love. We believe that each student is created in the image of God and has an important and unique role to play in bringing His redeeming love to the world around them. It is a bold vision, but it is also very exciting and exceptionally worthwhile.
At Surrey Christian School, teachers and staff are deeply committed and passionate about seeing students grow and develop, be challenged and also nurtured. A key distinction of our school is how we embed, articulate and promote our deep hope for our students and their learning. With all our curricular and co-curricular programs, we ask ourselves, “What is our deep hope for our students? What is it that we desire our students to learn, to become and grow into?” This shapes our teaching and learning, decision-making, and meetings; in fact, it shapes everything we do. My personal deep hope for your child is that they would feel loved and accepted as they grow as individuals; they would realize their God-given gifts and talents and see how they perfectly fit into God’s story. Here at Surrey Christian School, we intentionally design a curriculum that fosters students’ ability to understand themselves and the world in relation to the Bible. We endeavour to equip students to develop their ability to analyze contemporary issues with spiritual discernment and in the servant way of Jesus as they become students who are independent, adaptive and critical thinkers equipped to navigate life.
Come visit our campuses, and I look forward to speaking with you to imagine how your dreams for your children can be met through our vision of Christian education.
