Helen Park has been part of our school community for more than 25 years; first as a parent, then as a board member, and now as our Director of the International Program. She is fluent in Korean and English, has experience as a teacher, counsellor, and translator for international students and their families, and has a passion for helping them overcome their challenges, fears and limitations. Helen has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting as well as an ESL teaching diploma. Given her own experience as an immigrant and as a Christian missionary, she has a unique understanding of the cultural and social obstacles an international student may face. Her favourite way to unwind is to cook new recipes and share them with her friends, family and the SCS community.
