Join us for PreK to Grade 12 Open Houses in January 2025 for 2025-2026 School Year!
This past August, our hearts swelled with excitement as we received heartwarming pictures from a sister school in rural Sierra Leone: men hard at work digging and installing pipes, showed the impact of last year’s grade 4 classes (4S and 4P).
Guided by their teachers, these young learners embarked on a remarkable journey of connection and care. They engaged in a year-long exchange with two village schools overseen by the Christian Reformed Church in Sierra Leone while exploring culture, the world, and human connections. They shared knowledge, penned letters, and exchanged pictures with their newfound friends across the globe.
The journey extended as Grade 4 students asked our high school team who were travelling to Sierra Leone to gain insights firsthand and share their observations with the class. Their goal was to understand daily life and the challenges faced by their friends, including a lack of running water and school supplies.
What followed was inspiring. Driven by care and a desire to make a real impact, the Grade 4 classes raised over $800. These funds provided essential furniture for one school and, more significantly, brought the gift of running water to another. This was real work meeting the real needs of real people, a testament to our shared mission and vision at SCS-Global.

Formerly known as Global Partners in Christian Education, SCS-Global underwent a name change, seeking greater clarity in conveying our mission: “Engaging God’s world in the servant way of Jesus” through transformational intercultural relationships. This mission fuels our shared vision of being “fully alive in God’s story.”
We believe everything in this world belongs to God, grounding our worldview in stewardship and the responsibility to nurture and improve the world. Inspired by Micah 6:8, we aspire to act with justice, mercy, and humility. Our goal is to provide K-12 students with genuine opportunities to connect globally. We acknowledge that the world, with all its abundance, is entrusted to humanity for care and nurturing. This commitment translates into tangible actions, such as sharing blessings, fostering relationships, engaging in letter writing, virtual conversations, and offering support through scholarships.
Central to SCS-Global’s philosophy is the understanding that relationships are central to life itself. Our wealth is not measured by possessions but by the depth of our connections. We share our blessings not out of pity or remorse but out of love and empathy, akin to seeing a need in a dear friend. We envision a world where diverse students learn together, sharing their blessings along the way. These transformative relationships serve as a powerful catalyst for change, not only in the lives of those involved but also on a global scale. Through education, dialogue, and care, we break down barriers, promote understanding, and foster connections that transcend borders.
Our partnerships in Honduras, Sierra Leone, and beyond provide us with opportunities to cultivate enriching relationships that facilitate growth and learning. While our secondary students have the privilege of visiting these schools, all K-12 students embark on their journey as global citizens through Formational Learning Experiences (FLEx). Our global partnerships enable us to engage with God’s world in the servant way of Jesus.
We are profoundly blessed by the relationships nurtured through SCS-Global. These connections transcend borders, fostering care, understanding, and a deeper appreciation of diversity. Together, we make a difference, one relationship, one act of kindness, one transformative experience at a time. This is the real work that meets the real needs of real people.
