Joanne joined the Surrey Christian School staff as Director of Finance in 2016. Prior to that she held progressively senior management and leadership roles in commercial and corporate banking with Canada’s largest banks for 25 years. She holds an MBA in Finance from the Haskayne School of Business and a B. Comm in Marketing from UBC. She served on the board of Surrey Christian School for two years, and now as the Director of Finance & Operations provides financial support to the school with budgets, long term capital planning and tuition assistance. Both of her daughters are in post secondary and as graduates of SCS, they are thriving. When not working, Joanne enjoys spending time with family, dragon boating, travelling and reading.
Joanne leads the finance and school operations at Surrey Christian School, making sure everything from budgets to facilities runs smoothly. She handles the school’s finances, supports facilities and IT, and works closely with others to keep things efficient and well-maintained. Joanne’s role ensures a safe, functional environment that supports teaching and learning at the school.
