Ben loves Surrey Christian School’s mission: Educating for wholeness by engaging God’s world in the servant way of Jesus. He gets excited about working alongside a team of dedicated professionals who are seeking to provide a holistic, well-rounded education while also being intentional about engaging the world in a way that honours Jesus.

Originally from Australia, Ben spent 4 years serving as the Head of School at the International School of Qingdao in China.  He has also held several other educational leadership appointments, including Middle School Principal at St. Philip’s Christian College, Director at the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) Australia, and Athletics Director at Rouse Hill Anglican College. He has been the speaker at various conferences on student leadership and staff professional training in Indonesia, China, and Taiwan.

As a lifelong learner, Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, a Graduate Diploma in Education, a Master’s in Educational Leadership, and is currently completing his Doctorate in Organizational Leadership with Grand Canyon University.

Outside of school, Ben enjoys cycling, tennis, and staying active in the gym. Ben is married to Faith, and they have two children who attend SCS at the secondary campus. They are all excited to be a part of the amazing community at SCS.
