After getting her degree in education from Dordt College, Sue moved from the US to Surrey, BC in 1987 for her first job where she taught Canadian history and politics at Fraser Valley Christian High School. Along with building her knowledge base of all things Canadian, Sue has enjoyed the ever-changing landscape of education in general and Surrey Christian School in particular. Sue has worked within Surrey Christian School as a teacher, department head, academic counsellor and assistant principal. Sue loves running into former students and staff and hearing stories of how Surrey Christian School impacted them. Her three children attended Surrey Christian School from kindergarten through grade 12, and Sue has a deep appreciation for how the diversity and relationships developed with the Surrey Christian School staff have shaped their lives. Sue also values her church community at The Tapestry Mundy Park, and is torn between her desire to travel and her desire to sit on her deck with the daily crossword and a cup of coffee.
